One of my goals with this website and blog is to provide a resource for cool tools. I am a dedicated mac user, since 1984, so I am partial to tools designed specifically for the mac. I came across a list of 13 Mac Tools for Web Designers and SEO’s that you might find useful too. In fact, there is a lot of useful information at Joost de Valk’s website.
The 13 website tools he recommends are:
- Textmate for code writing
- CSSedit for CSS editing
- Transmit for editing on a server
- RankTracker for tracking website rankings
- Parallels for using windows on your mac
- Newsfire for RSS reader
- Pixelmator for image editing
- Domainer for keeping track of your domains
- iTerm for terminal emulation
- Unarchiver for handling unfamiliar file formats
- Colloquy for keeping in touch
- Adium for handling all of your different instant messagers
- QuickSilver for launching tasks more efficiently
I currently use Adium and Parallels with XP. I look forward to trying some of the other tools and will write about them in future blogs. This is a handy place to find the links. Take a look. One of these tools might just make your day a little easier.
