I just attended an all day program offered by my local SBDC in Oakland, CA called Technology Boot Camp. It was fabulous and only cost $45. The presentation was exceptionally well done with a wealth of information designed to acquaint small business owners with the technology tools that can make them competitive with the big guys. As Patrick Cook, the Director of the Silicon Valley SBDC said, “Technology is a fundamental change agent for your business.”
The topics for the day were Transformative Technology, Productivity, Operations, Financial Management, Marketing & Sales, and Business Management. Each section was packed with information and resources. None of it was dumbed down. You could see light bulbs go off all around the room.
If there is a local SBDC in your area, you should get on their mailing list. If they offer the Technology Boot Camp program, I would make it a priority to go. It was a day well spent.
